Closeness centrality reflects how quickly information can spread from one node to others in the network. It is determined by the average length of the shortest paths from a node to all other nodes. Nodes with high closeness centrality can disseminate information rapidly due to their proximity to other topics. (Refer to Exhibit 25.44)
